This designer's helpful staff was able to blend the two designs into the perfect design for us!

My wife and I were at our wits end trying to find the right house plan for our family. You’d think with all the thousands of house plans out there that we could easily find the right plan for ourselves. We found our way to this designer and still couldn’t find the right design. Then in desperation we went back to the site and found two plans that were close to what we wanted. The two plans were from this designer, but neither was exactly what we wanted. Another house plan website got us in touch with this designer and soon their helpful staff were able to blend the two designs into the perfect design for us. Our Foundation was just poured yesterday and we can’t wait to watch our dream home come to fruition. Thank you for your expertise and help!

We are definately enjoying living in our new home!

Construction began December 2008, and we moved into the house late April 2009. I had always wanted a split bedroom plan, and with our situation it gives the privacy that we so wanted. My Mother has the "Mother-in-law suite" on one end of the house, and we have the rest. We are definately enjoying living in our new home, and would DEFINITELY recommend this designer's plans to anyone looking to build their dream home

Her father had passed away and my house was burned beyond repair.

Friday, February 13, 2009 -I left my home in Gulfport, MS around 4pm on a three hour drive to Alabama. My best friend, Darryn, was with me and we had to attend a Board meeting at 8pm that night, and a Membership meeting the next morning. Mary Martha, my girlfriend who lives with me, was at her father's house in Ocean Springs, MS. Her father was 92 years old and on his death bed, she was staying with him till he passed. There are no phones where I was staying, in Alabama, and cell service is limited. Around 11:30 pm a fellow member of our club, who lives in the area, came by and woke us up. He explained that I needed to get home because I had a fire at home and there was a hole in my roof. My buddy and I drove around and found cell service. I was able to get in touch with Mary Martha and she filled me in. Her father had passed away and my house was burned beyond repair. We made the trip back to Gulfport safely. The Red Cross set us up with a place to stay and provided us with money for meals for the weekend. They also gave us a debit card for clothes and necessities purchases. My insurance company ended up declaring the house a total loss. Mary Martha's family offered us to stay in her father's house until we figured out all of our requirements in dealing with the insurance company. We ended up renting her father's house from the estate of the family, while our new house was under construction. Our next step, after demolishing the old house, was to decide on a house plan and get quotes from builders. After weeks of internet and local building store searches, we finally decided on a house plan that best meet our needs and wants. We found a certain house plan and you can imagine how surprised we were when the plans came in and we saw that they originated from Hattiesburg, MS. Darryn called me and told me he had bumped into a friend of ours that we had gone to high school and played baseball with. That friend was Johnny Willis and he was a building contractor. I called Johnny and about four other contractors and got bids for building my new home. After alot of discussions and visits to view some of the work completed and in progress, I decided on Mr. Willis. Johnny also did his own framing, this made it easy to make adjustments without having to get the plans re-drawn. Johnny stated he would have it finished in 90-120 days. He started in May of 2009, and even with the MAJOR changes, that effect building in the City of Gulfport by the Code Office and FEMA regulations, due to Hurricane Katrina. He was able to complete the project inside the alotted time frame. And in September of 2009, we moved in and became the happy owners of a beautiful home. I'm always anxious to get back to my beautiful home!

I'm a single woman, retired from the military, and currently am working a second career with the State of Louisiana. I never dreamed I'd build a home of my own. My ex-husband and I divorced 6 years ago, and I bought a nice 3 bedroom home about 17 miles from the golf course that I now live on. Golf is my passion and I played every chance I had. As time went on, I started looking for another place to live closer to work and especially closer to the golf course, and I could never find a house I liked within my budget close to where I wanted to move. After about 1 1/2 years of looking, I decided, why not try to build? There were available lots on the course that I always played golf on. Interest rates were low and I had some equity built up in my home, so I put it up for sale. One day later, I had an offer! I sold it and moved into an apartment. Meanwhile I had looked at literally hundreds of plans. I knew what I wanted, an open floor plan, split-floorplan with the master bedroon on one side and lots of windows in the back to overlook the golf course. The minimum to build out here is 2200 sq ft, so when I saw this plan, I knew it was the one. However, I ordered the plans reversed since the garage protects the back of the house and the patio from wayward golf shots! I found a quality builder and he had me in the house in less than 5 months, even after losing about a month to bad winter weather. I love the large, open kitchen and the windows on the back that overlook the golf course that I built on. I also love the nice sized covered patio. I love it! My house isn't the biggest in the neighborhood, but it holds it's own with any of the others and I get many compliments on it... My job requires me to travel out of state sometimes, but I'm always anxious to get back to my own beautiful home!

We had over $1,400,000 debt, and could have legally taken bankruptcy...

We owned a commercial roofing company and a trucking business that grew too fast. Poor decisions, and other circumstances contributed to the problems. Jerry's Dad, his business partner, got sick and died. After an audit we realized we were losing thousands of dollars a month. We had over $1,400,000 debt, and could have legally taken bankruptcy, but we believed that we should sell everything we could and pay back our debts. We had a nice 1926 AC ranchette home that was free and clear as well as having lots of other assets, such as cars, trucks, horses, cattle, etc. We sold everything but 1 horse, and our furniture, and we moved in with Jerry's mother who helped us with some of the debt. We actually got all the way down to having only $100 and driving a borrowed car, but we had peace! Jerry's mother gave us some land and we bought a mobile home, initially. Jerry worked hard at any job he could find. Donna went back to school, got her real estate license after 30 years as a stay-at-home wife and mother, and went to work. Over the next few years, with God's help and grace, we gradually paid back all the debt, began to save, and dreamed of building a house on our land. In 2009, we began to build and placed a Bible in our slab as a reminder of who helped us get out of our dire circumstances. We moved into our new wonderful, Country Craftsman style house in Feb 2010 and felt so blessed and restored. It is gorgeous! We made just a few modifications to the home including taking the pantry/closet out to make the dining room area larger with a nook for our antique buffet. We also omitted the stairwell (no upstairs) and made a huge pantry. We also put an outdoor fireplace on the patio and have really been enjoying it. Finally, our favorite features of this beautiful home are the Country Craftsman Style, tall ceilings, split bedrooms, big closets, two dining areas, covered patio, and the big front porch. We would definitely recommend this designer for anyone looking for a beautiful design with a floorplan that absolutely minimizes wasted space. Highly recommended!

Our builder says he had more compliments on this home than any home he has ever contracted!

My name is Sylvia, my husband is Larry. We live in Griffin, Georgia. We built our home two years ago this June. We love it. I’ll try to explain some of the things about the house along with pictures. I LOVE MY HOUSE. My husband and I are living in our sixth new home. When deciding to build this house we were looking for something that would fit our needs, without getting into a large home, because it’s just the two of us. We like the look of the craftsman style, although we made a few changes on the plans inside and on the outside. Changing these fit our need a little better. We opened the flex room, adding five large posts instead of keeping the walls. This space, now open, flows into the great room/den. We put the fireplace/gas logs on the wall area backing the hall, also adding bookcases next to the fireplace. We then put windows where the fireplace was shown on the plans. This makes a great view across our covered screened porch, deck, and yard and woods. In the kitchen, we kept the bar on the same level as the counter top; this opens up into the breakfast room. We added large windows in the breakfast room where it called for a door to the covered porch. We put the door in the great room on a wall along the side of two large windows. The master bedroom is great. We painted it a beautiful suede leather brown with white trim, this color flows into the master bath where we have a large walk-in shower. Pictures will hopefully show you the changes. Several reasons for choosing this floor plan were so we could make a few changes, making it our own. We looked at book after book, and plan after plan before choosing. But, this was the right choice for us. Our builder says he had more compliments on this home than any home he has ever contracted. Come for a visit. I’ll be happy to show you our home.
